Taking up a key position within our Health & Safety Team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced H&S professional who will provide compliance support and advice across our organisation.

So, what will you be doing?

As part of our Health and Safety team, you'll use your knowledge and skills to promote a positive Health and Safety culture in the workplace. You will ensure the company complies with statutory requirements for Health, Safety and Environment and implements appropriate best practice systems and procedures. You will also be:

Conducting regular audits of HSE systems, procedures, and field operations, including the effectiveness of risk assessments and appropriate method statements;

Assessing and reporting on HSE performance through audit of systems and office and field operations;

Working with all members of the company to ensure the highest standards of HSE in the context of the Company's service delivery culture.

The Person:

To be successful within this role you will have demonstrable experience within a Health & Safety post. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and show credibility with multi-level stakeholders. We will be also looking for:

  • A detailed knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment methodologies, processes, and techniques, ideally within the Utilities and/or Construction Sector;
  •  Knowledge of Quality Assurance and processes;
  •  Knowledge of highways working/NRSWA.

Qualifications:

We will be looking for you to hold a NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction, possess a full UK driving licence and EUSR/CSCS Card. If you are trained as an Internal Auditor or experienced Trainer, that would be a real advantage, but certainly not essential.

Tamdown, our Civil Engineering business, provides a range of civil engineering and infrastructure services to the UK housebuilding sector.

These services include earthworks, building highways, substructures and basements, installing sustainable drainage systems and high-rise construction.
