As part of your role as an Apprentice Plant Fitter, you will work in a hands-on role, learning our processes, facing challenges and driving results - all whilst learning and developing as an individual.  

You will be enrolled on a Level 2 Land Based Service Engineer Apprenticeship, which you will complete over a 2-year timeframe. You will be based in our Plant warehouse in Braintree, Essex. As part of the Apprenticeship, you will complete weeks of block training in Norfolk (accommodation, travel and food will be paid for).

Throughout your Apprenticeship you’ll work closely with our experienced Plant team, continuously growing with opportunities to contribute the delivery of company objectives. 


As part of your Apprenticeship, you’ll work closely with an experienced mentor, there to guide and support you. Your line manager will also be there to ensure you reach your full potential.  

We understand that learning is key to developing yourself, and your Apprenticeship encompasses learning modules designed to help you gain the skills you need to succeed. Included modules are listed below, but for a full module breakdown, please click here

  • Servicing techniques and procedures;
  • Technical skills;
  • Welding, brazing and soldering.

As an Apprentice Plant Fitter, you will: 

  • Work safely, gaining a solid understanding of our processes, supporting the team to successfully deliver end results; 
  • Focus on applying theory to practice, understanding the principles and methods required to succeed as a key member of the team; 
  • Develop your communication and interpersonal skills, working as a team onsite and building relationships.

Here’s what else we need from you: 

  • A strong interest in construction or machinery;
  • Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4 (C) or above. If you are without Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, you will need to achieve this level through college, as part of your apprenticeship. 
  • Competent IT skills, with experience across MS Office package.
