Our Apprenticeship programme offers you personal and professional development, enabling you to develop into becoming a valued member of our team.  

As part of your role as an Apprentice Site Engineer, you will work in a hands-on role, learning our processes, facing challenges and driving results - all whilst learning and developing as an individual.  

You will be enrolled on a Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, which you will complete over a 3-year timeframe. Depending on your location, you’ll work on a site in either Kent, Peterborough, Cambridge of Milton Keynes. As part of your Apprenticeship, you will regularly attend college for taught sessions. The college you attend will depend on your location.

Throughout your Apprenticeship you’ll work closely with our experienced site teams, continuously growing and contributing to the delivery of company objectives. 

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:  

As part of your Apprenticeship, you’ll work closely with an experienced Site Engineer, there to guide and support you. Your line manager will also be there to ensure you reach your full potential.  

We understand that learning is key to developing yourself, and your Apprenticeship encompasses learning modules designed to help you gain the skills you need to succeed. Included modules are listed below, but for a full module breakdown, please click here

  • Key engineering principles, techniques and methods;
  • Industry policies and standards;
  • Project management and quality management.

As an Apprentice Site Engineer, you will: 

  • Work safely, gaining a solid understanding of our processes, supporting the site team to deliver a successful end result; 
  • Focus on applying theory to practice, understanding the principles and methods required to succeed as a Site Engineer; 
  • Develop your communication and interpersonal skills, working as a team and building relationships. 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

You welcome the opportunity to be innovative. You are good at absorbing information, analysing problems, making decisions, and finding better ways of completing tasks. You have the resilience to make it happen, the integrity to keep your word and the credibility to challenge assumptions. 

Here’s what else we need from you: 

  • A strong interest in construction, groundworks and civils; 
  • Four GCSE qualifications (including both English and Maths) at Grade 4 (C) or above;
  • Those without GCSEs qualifications in English and Maths will need to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills as part of your apprenticeship.
